Joplin is great, just one thing is distracting me constantly. I do not like to split screen for writing md files.
I like to suggest to build in markdown syntax in the rich text editor. Just type markdown syntax and instantly change it. Have a look at bear, an IOs App they have this feature implemented. I have attached a screencast from the page (all copyrights are with bear.app).
We could keep Joplin as is just add the option to use markdown in the rich text editor.
