What issue do you have?

My current sort order of notes is "updated date -> created date" and it's in "reverse sort order". I see 2 notes at the top which never leave the top two slots. That is, I create a note and it appears as the 3rd item in the list. I created another note and it is now the 3rd item while my previously created note is now the 4th item. I don't know why the 2 notes in positions 1 and 2 seem never to move. Is there some kind of a "lock a note" option that I accidently enabled for those two notes. They were created and updated over 2 weeks ago (per the info icon information). I have played with reordering the sort order and then getting back to the way I like it and those 2 items are always on top.
Thanks in advance.

If they have a checkbox at the start of the title, they are todos. There is a setting enabled by default for uncompleted todos to be at the top

I don't use Joplin's to-do feature so I wasn't familiar with it. I now created a to-do item and indeed, it's like you said, it's at the top. And I finally noticed the checkbox you mentioned. No idea why I didn't see that before. I just switched my 2 items to regular notes and everything is good.

Thank you very much for your fast (and accurate) response.
