Upgrading Joplin server

Hello all,

I installed Joplin server on a raspberry PI 4 and it works perfectly.

I use version 3.5.2 and I installed it using docker (portainer) with data stored outside the container on an SSD disk.

I see a newer versions are available.

Can I update the server safely?

Are there any breaking changes between 3.5.2 and 3.7.1?

I do an extra backup, just in case...

The server changelog does not mention any breaking changes.

I upgraded from 3.5.2 > 3.6.1 > 3.7.1 as they were released and without any errors so I cannot see why moving to 3.7.1 should be a problem. That being said no one can guarantee that there will not be any problems at all as no-one but you is familiar with how your server is built and configured. In other words make sure you are adequately backed up first :slight_smile:
