What issue do you have?

When updating Joplin to 3.5.12 does it replace the contents of ~/.config/joplin-desktop/ ?? I have some modified css files so will these be overwritten by the new version?

As an alternative can I give them unique names which will preserve them, rather than modifying the existing css files?

Updating to Joplin 3.5.12 preserves the existing .css files in the config directory. If you are concerned about them being overwritten you can copy them to another location before updating.

That’s what I do. I have a few different pairs of .css files that I use, and have copies elsewhere. When I want to change the theme, I just drag and drop the respective .css file pair into the config directory and restart Joplin.

Many thanks for the reply.
I’ve settled on a consistent theme so don’t feel the need to keep changing. There are backup copies of the css files, but I really wanted to know what to expect as some apps clear everything out and leave you to reinstall any custom settings.
