When I highlight/select several lines with check boxes in the markdown editor and right click> Toggle Checkbox I expected all of the selected lines to be toggled.
It's true that the menu item does say "checkbox" singular. But it seems like selecting multiple lines should work.
Is this possible to do?

I am also interested in this possibility.Unless I'm mistaken, the Toggle checkbox entry is a function added by the Rich Markdown plugin. So I asked on the plugin topic.
There is also the solution of the Reset Checkboxes plugin, I just asked the developer if it was possible to reset the checkboxes of a selection and he just added the function, a big thank you to him
