No breaking changes as far as I can tell. The only old feature that changed was a consolidation of the two commands to select the default to-do / note template to a single unified command (so users expecting the old commands will discover the new one, but the previously selected defaults are preserved, I think).

Please let me know once you have a look at the old PR, whether you think it should be merged or not. After that I will release a new version of the plugin
I couldn't get the PR to work on my end, so I think that we may skip it for now and release version v3.0.0.
