Not necessarily the right category put I did not see anythig that loooked any better.
I just installed the backup plugin and am having a terrible time trying to set up a path and had a similar problem with the bibtex plugin. Caan someone point me towards an explanation of how paths are set for Linux (Ubuntu 21.10)
Thanks
Welcome on the forum.
Could you be a little more explicit. What have you already tried under linux ?
Classically, you just have to enter the path to the place where you want the backup to be saved. Something like this:
/home/jrkrideau/Documents/Joplin_backup
If you are using Gnome as your desktop environment, you can use the file browser ("files"), go to the place where you want to make your backup, then right click "open in a terminal". Then type the following command pwd (and enter) which will give you the path to the folder (to which you have to add the name of the backup file in Joplin).
