What issue do you have?

Please excuse my total ignorance of Joplin, Jarvis, and this website. I have been using Joplin for about 2 months after moving from Evernote. I decided that installing Jarvis would help in my searches of my notes. Unfortunately, I installed Jarvis without any understanding of what was involved. Now my installation is incomplete and I've disabled Joplin in the process. When I open Joplin, it displays a message: "Please specify a valid OpenAI API key in the settings". I click OK, but then Joplin closes. At this point, I just want to remove Jarvis and be able to use Joplin again. Again, I apologize for my total ignorance. Please help!

Hi,

Are you referring to Jarvis that’s in the MS store?

AI assistant?

Hi @rcrow490, Jarvis dev here. I've never encountered this issue (Joplin crashing), but first I'll try to help you remove the plugin.

  • To uninstall the plugin in this case: Try to start Joplin in safe mode (no plugins active). Go to Settings -> Plugins and delete Jarvis.
  • If you have access to your logs and crash reports, sharing them may help identifying the problem.
  • If you do decide to give the plugin a try in the future, try to follow these instructions. You are also welcome to post questions in this plugin thread or issues on GitHub.
