Shortcut is Apples method for creating simple automations in iOS (and MacOS).
These (and many more) actions are supported by the Notes application:
This allows to use Notes as a "database", to automatically log things etc.
It would be amazing if Joplin iOS app implemented some actions as well.
OneNote also implements it (at least one action).
Trivial examples that shows how powerful this would be:
- Automatically add transactions to my "Money" page when I use Apply Pay
- Automatically create a log entry when I tap my RFID pass
- Log when I come home every day
- Protocol time and duration at the gym
