Notes Sort Order Question

Dear all,

I am using the "Sort Notes By Custom Order", but apparently the custom sorting only works when viewing notes in a notebook; when using the tag view (i.e. viewing notes having a common tag) moving a note up or down has no effect. Is this on purpose or am I missing something here?
