Mobile: Add the existing Collapse/Expand All notebooks button from Desktop

Hi,

I would like to request that the existing Collapse/Expand All notebooks functionality from Joplin Desktop be added to the mobile app (Android/iOS).

Joplin Desktop has had a Collapse/Expand All button since version 3.3, but this functionality does not appear to be available on mobile.

This would be particularly useful on mobile because of the limited screen space. In my case, I have several top-level notebooks with multiple levels of nested sub-notebooks. As I navigate through them, many branches remain expanded, and the notebook list quickly becomes very long.

Currently, on Android I have to collapse each parent notebook individually. What I would like is a button near the Notebooks heading that allows me to collapse the entire notebook hierarchy back to the first/top level with one tap.

Ideally, the same button could work as a toggle:

  • Collapse All → show only the top-level notebooks.
  • Expand All → expand the complete notebook hierarchy.

Since this functionality already exists on Desktop, bringing the same behavior to mobile would also improve consistency between the Joplin apps.

There was a previous feature request discussing this issue, including the problem on mobile, but that topic is now closed. I have already added my like to that request:

Collapse notebooks tree view by default and via context menu

The Collapse/Expand All functionality was subsequently added to Joplin Desktop:

Thanks for considering it!
