So, it's my first time using Joplin, and for real it's what I was looking for, simple & rich. But as someone who writes many study notes, I can say that some basic word processing features are still missing like:
The Tab space doesn't exist at all
You can't align images or bring them behind the text etc. There's nothing you can do with images but adjust their size
There's no auto conversion of symbols like * to a bullet list item or --> to an arrow
Most of this is because Joplin stores its data internally as Markdown - even when using the Richtext editor (which it sounds like you are using?) so options are limited when it comes to things that wouldn't be supported.
You might prefer using the markdown editor instead, possibly with the Rich Markdown plugin installed.
