Kicking Off My OSS Journey with Joplin

Hi Joplin community! :waving_hand:

I’m Raj, a CS student from Bengaluru, India, and I’m excited to kick off my open-source journey with Joplin. Over the past 5 months, I’ve been actively contributing to open-source projects working on dashboard improvements, tooling, and real-world features across multiple repositories. You can check out my work here:

I’m super pumped to get started with Joplin
Skills: Java, TypeScript, REST APIs, React (frontend), SQL, and ML basics. I’m particularly interested in GSoC 2026 ideas around AI-powered note intelligence and security enhancements in the Joplin ecosystem.

Looking forward to landing my first Joplin PR soon and connecting with fellow contributors. Let’s build some awesome features together!

FYI Is Joplin participating for gsoc 2026

But if you just want to make general contributions that’s fine, as long as they are inline with the contribution guidelines

i still want to contribute cuz joplin was around my vision from a couple of months was following it. so yeah very much excited! but i just saw in the organizations list joplin's name was there for 2026 orgs!
