Baikal is a server that offers a WebDAV/CalDav/CardDav interface that integrates note management through a web server (http/https).
I have been using it for a long time to manage my contacts and my calendars.
But I never got to use it with Joplin : when I try to sync, I get an authentication error (401) although I indicate the same values as for calendars and contacts.
If anyone has tried using Baikal with Joplin before, I'd love to hear back.
Never heard of Baikal, and if I can make a link with other discussions, the PHP route may be a bit out of fashion. Did you take a look at NextCloud ? It seems to provide many attractive features (I don't know much about it either) BTW, tehre is a page about that : Migrating from Baikal to nextcloud, How to? - ℹ️ Support - Nextcloud community
thank you for your reply
But I don't really need all nexcloud features, and baikal is a ptretty much lighter and simple server.
I've been using it for years with no problems and would love to keep it.
