What issue do you have?

Hello, a few days ago (2025-10-23) the whole content of my joplin notes disappeared after I have made a backup (Markdown-Backup). The database and the ressources are still there with content (i've opened the sqlite database). But when opening Joplin there is no content. How can I get back the content of the sqlite database?
The desaster startet here (see log file):

If you have a backup, you can create a new profile, import your backup there, and if all looks ok you follow this guide: How to fix synchronisation issues and start over

What is your sync target btw?

Do you have a recent JEX backup? Look into the folder of your Backup plugin. I am not sure Markdown backups include images and other attached files.

I’d like to suggest verifying AI hallucinations, before posting them into forum. I’ve looked into joplin source code, what messages are written into log, when database is being opened.

File: packages\lib\database.ts, function open
Log should contain “Cannot open database:“ , when there is an issue with opening database. This message is not present in the log provided by mseliger, therefore the issue doesn’t seem to be caused by “database being corrupted, deleted, or otherwise inaccessible during startup“.

Based on synchronizer log messages, notes seem to be still present in the database.
