On iOS I updated to the newest released version (12.9.2) and noticed the light theme has been changed. I was on an version older than 12.8.1.
I personally find the new theme really bad on the eyes. The top navigation bar is now a dark gray shade, rather than blue. The hamburger menu has almost no color and folders are now just outlines. In general I find the new theme lacking in color.
Was the theme changed across all platforms? I haven't updated on desktop. Is there a way to use the old theme on iOS?
