Introducing Lakshita Sisodia

Hi everyone,

I’m Lakshita (GitHub: lakshitasisodia), a Computer Science and Business Systems student, and I’m excited to introduce myself as a Google Summer of Code 2026 applicant for Joplin.

Background

I’m currently pursuing my B.Tech and have been focusing on strengthening my skills in full-stack development and systems-level programming. While I’ve worked on academic and personal projects, I’m now looking to deepen my experience by contributing meaningfully to a large-scale open-source project.

Open Source & Joplin

I’m interested in open source because I want to grow in a community-driven environment where code quality, collaboration, and long-term maintainability matter. Working in an ecosystem like Joplin feels like the right step to move beyond isolated projects and start contributing to software that real users depend on.

I’ve just begun exploring the Joplin codebase, setting up the development environment, and understanding the architecture. Over the coming weeks, I plan to actively contribute through bug fixes and improvements while refining a project idea aligned with Joplin’s roadmap.

I’m looking forward to learning from the community, contributing consistently, and growing as an open-source developer.

Thank you, and I’m excited to be here.
