What issue do you have?

I am trying to export OneNote notebooks to Joplin. Joplin Help instructs to "right click" on the OneNote notebook in the web app to do this. Right clicking only allows me to open the notebook: there are no other options. And there are no export options in the desktop version of OneNote to produce the ZIP files that Joplin requires. I am looking for a simple, straightforward solution that involves absolutely no coding, avoids Evernote and can be accomplished quickly. Any ideas?

If you're willing to try a Joplin pre-release: The latest Joplin 3.5.x pre-release should allow directly importing files exported from the OneNote desktop app (e.g. .onepkg/.one files). See:

Took your suggestion but find that Ver. 3.5.7 pre-release does not have the option to import OneNote .onpkg/.one files.

I see that the menu item is still listed as "ZIP". However, the option "ZIP - OneNote" in the import menu should allow importing .one files:

Importing as .zip files does work but involves some unnecessary steps. Specifically, when I import a OneNote section file, Joplin creates a section (or whatever it’s called in Joplin) and a sub-section with all the OneNote notes in it. The top-line section has one note in it but that’s just a pointer: it contains no information. So, I end up moving all the notes from the sub-section to the top-line section and deleting the sub-section. It’s just more work. Anyway, I end up with a Joplin dataset that mirrors OneNote’s and that’s what I needed. Thanks for the help.
