Import from Notepad

Operating system

Android

Joplin version

2.13.2

What issue do you have?

How do I import my notes from Notepad (#Notepad) by Digital Notes Studio?

Hi,

I have that notepad app installed but I've only created a couple of notes. I'm afraid it looks like it's going to be quite difficult if you have a lot of notes.

Each note individually has a option to share that note and it copies it to the clipboard so you would need to do that and then paste the note into Joplin.

Or choose share to joplin.

You may have to create each note in Joplin with the proper title and then paste the contents from the clipboard.

I didn't see any way to export the notes in plain text format in individual files.

That's what I was afraid of.
Thank you.

I have another suggestion that might work for you.

Sometimes there's a link in the app and other times if you go into the Google Play app store and go to where the note pad app is there might be a developer contact email or a support email and oftentimes you can reach out to the developer and ask if there is any way to export the data.

There might be a way to do so that's just not on the menu.

Have you tried Claude-code? or similar? It might be able to read the database and write a program for you to turn it into a text file or html, or ENex or something that Joplin can import.
