How to paste password on note body?

Hello all,
I have annotated some passwords on a note.
I have just discovered that joplin converted some characters to others, making the password useless.

Se attached image

Is there a setting to disable this?
TIA
Tony

Never mind: I posted before checking it:
I solved disabling the option here:
options > markdown > Enable ^sup^ syntax (wysiwyg: yes)

You could just copy the password from the left hand side instead? Or if you put them in a code block, markdown formatting will not be applied to it.

On a side note, storing passwords in a Joplin note isn't secure on its own, as Joplin does not support encryption at rest. There is a GSoC project for implementing encrypted notes which is happening this year though, which would provide encryption at rest for specific notes.

I store passwords that do not protect sensitive data on joplin. They are not so important.
I use bitwarden to store real online passwords.
