How to change markdown of italics from * to _?

Hello!

I routinely write a draft text in Joplin before passing it on. For this purpose it would be easier for me if the markdown code I get from ctrl+i for italics were the underscore instead of a single asterisk. Is there a setting where I can change this?

MS Window 10 Enterprise N 64-bit running Joplin 2.5.12
