The forum is a bit disturbing in his way of running. When we modify or delete a post, it is still possible for everyone to see what we wrote before. We just have to use the pencil button:
I understand for the admin (legal purpose) but not for everyone.
Is it possible to turn off this function ?
It also works with not loged in visitors !!!
By my side I modifiy a lot my posts for example when I see spelling mistakes or when I see that I misunterpreted things and have to correct myself or when I have an opinion change.
It also helps me to create a topic in "support" category because that is impossible (for me only ?) otherwise. I can only create "features" and I have to modify into "support" after the topic is created !
While I don't see the need to make user edits only visible to staff, the following thread says it's possible (and provides other points about user edits): How long are user edits visible to the public? - Support - Discourse Meta

Thank you very much !!!
By the way : besides the admin, the author of a post is also able to see his own previous versions. Useful !
