please tell me how to upload any logs - where they are and that they will mask any private information found in notes? thanks. i was advised to use beta to import onenote notes file - thanks!

new import was pretty messy - background is white for some reason and text has lots of extra lines between each line - is this still being tested? are there any settings i need to adjust? good news images are imported - yay!

also the note time is smooshed behind the first line of each note instead of on the same line as the date - any reason this is needed to be there? i think it is the original date from onenote and is only useful short term - let me know next steps - thanks! how do i get email replies here? thanks.

also the imported notes font is unknown - can i use courier new for all notes? how to set for import preferences? plus 1.5 line spacing wastes screen room on every line - want to use tight spacing please. thanks!

Brad - In Windows, I have been using OneNote Md Exporter, found at GitHub - alxnbl/onenote-md-exporter: ConsoleApp to export OneNote notebooks to Markdown formats
This works perfectly for me. Through trial and error, I found I needed to change the following settings:

This little utility was originally publicized on reddit. It works seamlessly - way better than the built-in OneNote export or Joplin import. It's definitely worth a try!

Correction: I used the Joplin importer. OneNote Md Exporter just creates a seamless MD (or Joplin raw) fileset to import … :wink:

i tried md exporter already

It made every note use 2 lines for each one line making notes huge, had a white background for some reason, imported no images or attachments, text covered other text, got rig of spaces making search elements break - basically a mess from square one. i need a better solution that keeps only text and attachments and does not try to be fancy with formatting.

Could you share an example of onenote file that shows the issue so that we can replicate it?
