Edit right or leftmost spaces

I just installed Joplin for the desktop, and now I'm importing some notes from another note-taking application.

The origin note app exports the data to a Markdown file that I can add to Joplin. However, this Markdown has 3 extra empty spaces to the right of most of the lines.

So I have to manually remove the rightmost spaces from each line.

With notepad apps like Notepadd++, there's an option to quickly handle these empty spaces.

Is there a similar feature in Joplin where I can easily delete right or left empty spaces?

Have you tried opening the note in the external editor and simply using Search&Replace? (Assuming you're not trying to modify all notes at the same time ...)

That's what I ended up doing, but I was hoping there was a similar feature built into Joplin.
I guess not.

This would be a nice feature. I often grab an answer from the web and spaces before and / or after a line and if I paste into Joplin for future reference it looks weird with background etc. I think it is some kind of block quote mechanisim. Anyway, I then delete it, and use AceText (which grabs my clipboard), to wipe spaces, then paste again.

Joplin would be perfecter if it could do it.
