Hi, I am having the following situation:
I am using SAML to log in via Authentik via the Joplin Server (Beta, SAML) integration.
This works well on both Windows and iOS, but the session expires rather quickly - daily if I am not mistaken. I have tried increasing the expiry time on the Authentik side but it seemed to have no effect. The main problem behind this is that logging back in is really cumbersome, having to go to settings, Synchronisation, connecting using your organisation account, copying the code, entering the code and submitting the login. Every day, on desktop and on iOS.
What I would like it to be instead:
- I would like to be able to extend the session time in general, so it doesn’t expire this quickly, perhaps there is an option I haven’t found yet?
- I would then for the SAML login in general of course like to not need to copy a code but just to be logged in
- but if it has to be this way then at least please when “session expires” I give me a popup asking to directly get to the request to “use my organisation account" to log back in with a field to enter the code right there, without going back and forth in the sync menu.
- The sync button could also pop the above mentioned popup up directly when clicked, if the initial message was dismissed.
I’m not sure if this is worthy of a feature request, but after my support request was not bringing up anything, I thought I ask about it this way.
