What issue do you have?

I have Joplin syncing via File System to a couple different computers. (The folder is synced via Syncthing). The sync between folders appears to be working fine. However, sometimes the desktop client will sync with the File System and the notes won't update, even though it says sync complete. I have to go into Options and use 'Delete local data and redownload from sync target'

after doing that, all notes are updated and fine. Is there a way to force Joplin to check the sync target every time to make sure it updates completely?

Be aware that Joplin's file system sync currently uses timestamps to determine whether items have changed since the last sync. Depending on how Syncthing syncs timestamp information, this could cause sync issues.

Thanks for the reply. I guess the cause of the problem is probably from me leaving Joplin open on my desktop, and it doesn't grab the most up to date changes if it has synced before Syncthing.

The problem is likely Sync silently ignores new files with old timestamps · Issue #6517 · laurent22/joplin · GitHub. There is no permanent fix, only a few possible workarounds, which are described in the issue comments on GitHub.
