I currently have two PC’s and one mobile phone syncing via a Joplin server.
There’s a particular note that has a conflict on one of the PC’s. What I don’t understand is how the note in the regular notebook and the note (same note) in the Conflicts folder are both wrong and both different from one another and both different from the note which is synced on the other two devices.
This makes no sense to me. Shouldn’t one of them match what’s on the other devices?
How do you handle these situations? I only have a few notes, so far, but I can see keeping everything synced via Joplin Server being a bit frustrating for me. What am I doing wrong?
as a quick fix, duplicate that note (right click > duplicate), keep the new copy and trash the old buggy original
to avoid conflicts, if you worked on note A on device 1 and want to work again on note A on device 2, make sure to manually sync device 1 first. Also, take the habit to work on different notes on different devices (in other words, avoid working on the same note from different devices). I use 6 devices simultaneously daily and almost never get any conflict thanks to these habits.

Then it is very important that you manually sync your devices everytime you leave them for a while.
So I do this on one of the other devices which has the correct note?
Do this on any correct version of your problematic note, on any device. It's just a way to say “ok, this is the correct version of my note, let's start over from it“.
Note that duplicating the note will change its id thus all backlinks to it will be broken. You can use backlink plugin to easily find which notes link to your note.
