What issue do you have?

When I click the “Checkbox list” icon, instead I get a bullet point, same as “Bullet list”. Also, checkbox lists imported from Evernote (ENEX as HTML) appear as bullet (unordered) lists.
I see one or two previous reports in Forum of this issue, but I see no solutions (other than it “went away”).

I just checked my same Joplin version. Mac M1 Sonoma 14.5 and I get check boxes OK.
I wonder if you have tried a different font or two to see if that is the problem. My default font is Georgia.

Interesting. I am using Joplin (brand new user) “out of the box”. I changed the Editor font family in Settings -> General -> Appearance to Georgia, which did nothing for existing notes, but a new note does appear with a proper checkbox — but with sans-serif font; clearly not Georgia which is a serif font. Perplexing…

It is perplexing, till I discovered the same, but Georgia only showed up in the markdown editor, not in the rich text editor. I want something simpler, and not markdown. Got to keep searching, but Joplin has some other good features...

So, there are 2 "editors" and if you can't get the check boxes in one, start in the other then switch.

Surely someone with more experience on this forum can help.
