What issue do you have?

[Before reporting this to GITHUB]

If I start JOPLIN, I can only start it one time. I mean if I close JOPLIN, I can't open it again : nothing happens... The solution : to reboot the computer or to disconnect !
The same thing with JOPLIN in safe mode...
Am I the only one with this issue ?

Possibly. Probably.

I have Joplin 3.4.10 installed on Kubuntu (24.04.3) and I can quit and restart it as many times as I like in the same session.

EDIT

Debian 13 with Plasma 6.3.6 works properly as well. Also Linux Mint 22.1 Cinnamon and Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS are fine.

I’m not using linux and I don’t have this issue. But if I ever encountered it, I’d

  1. check running processes, if Joplin is really terminated
  2. check joplin logfiles

@ dpoulton & @ horvat : thanks for the answer.

I tried to stop the process with “pkill joplin”. With a “ps -e” in order to be sure. It closes Joplin but no more start possible in the same session.

But I found a solution by chance : with the use of “Gear Lever” ( Install Gear Lever on Linux | Flathub ) Joplin now works fine again.

And the installation script is still working too ( Installation | Joplin ).

Don’t ask me why it works now : I have no idea !!!
