Attaching images into a note

What issue do you have?

I am using fingerprint access to lock Joplin.
But, it now seems to be almost impossible for me to attach images into a note - something which previously worked perfectly.
Pressing the "paperclip" icon takes allows me to select a file to insert, but while I'm selecting the image, Joplin locks itself again. I then have press the fingerprint unlock it, by which time Joplin has forgotten all about the image selection!
Is there any way to extend the timeout before Joplin re-locks itself again in background? It seems to be only a seconds at the moment...

Which version of Android and which phone? As it's often OS-specific these issues

Thanks for getting back so quickly...

The phone is a humble Samsung A14 5G
with Android 15 (6.6.50) and One UI ver.7.
I've only noticed this issue since the One UI update...

The biometric feature has been upgraded in v3.4. Would you mind giving it a try to see if it fixes your issue?

Thanks for the response… if you don’t mind I'll wait until 3.4 is released as it’s not a serious problem for me - I can attach them on the desktop. When will 3.4 be released? I'll let you know if it solves the problem.

The 3.4 release is scheduled for 30 Aug 2025 - 5 Sept 2025
