Where's the location of the notes?

The first line of Tools > Options > General shows full path of where notes and settings are stored.

I wouldn't advise editing or moving those notes and settings directly.

To specify a custom location on Linux, make sure your data is backed up and recoverable first. Then, if you know what you're doing, try the workarounds from these threads:

How do I point Joplin at a different location for the database?

I'm running Joplin 1.7.11 on MacOS Big Sur. I've done a search of Support and found that the database lives currently in ~/.config/joplin-desktop I would like to move it from there to a folder that is located in my iCloud sync folder rather than use any of the sync options. If I move joplin-desktop to this different folder, how to I tell Joplin to look for it there?
