Hello everyone 
My name is Vijay Singh, and I’m a developer from India interested in participating in Google Summer of Code 2026 with Joplin.
I primarily work with TypeScript, JavaScript, and full-stack development, and I enjoy building developer tools and scalable applications. Recently, I’ve been exploring AI-powered features and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, which is what drew me toward Joplin’s AI-related project ideas.
Over the past few days, I’ve been going through the Joplin repository, documentation, and the GSoC ideas list to better understand the architecture and contribution workflow. I’m especially interested in projects related to AI integration with notes, since they combine knowledge management with intelligent search and interaction.
Some technologies I’m comfortable working with:
- TypeScript / JavaScript
- React / Next.js
- Node.js / Express
- PostgreSQL / Prisma
- Building full-stack applications and developer tools
I’m currently preparing my proposal and also looking for opportunities to contribute to the codebase and learn more about how Joplin works internally. My goal is to make meaningful contributions and continue contributing even beyond GSoC.
