What issue do you have?

I want to run Joplin Server (docker) behind Authelia (Docker) with NPM on Ubuntu 24.0.4 Server.
Normally I use 2 FA authentification with Authelia, but with Joplin this seems not working.
I need a static passwort to sync Joplin to the server.

My idea is to use one factor in Authelia for Joplin only and create a sync for Joplin like this:
Joplin User
Joplin PW

https://autheliauser:autheliapw@server.com

Does this work?

Any other ideas of a secured access? Using Joplin Server on the web without some kind of pre authentication is not an option.

Thanks

unfortunately there is no SSO support now for Joplin Server now and it looks laurent doesn't consider this improvement

and the discussion around What's new in Joplin 3.0 - #20 by laurent small improvements happened shortly with LDAP and SAML support but the big step to OpenId Connect is still missing :frowning:

What i learned from searching the web about Authelia is, that is does not support to add user and pw to the link.

Must not be Authelia. NPM offer Basic authentication with it Access List. Does Joplin support to hand over user and pw like this?

@laurent: Any infos from your side? Or any ideas to give it a little bit mre security? E.g. Web Gui behind Authelia, which works, and sync with a less secured apporac? Which one?
