How do I use the --profile switch under os-x.

I only became aware of the --profile switch as it has been mentioned on this forum as an unsupported feature. I am sorry but I am not a Mac user so I cannot tell you how to do this. All I can say is that on windows you just append --profile X:\drive\and\path\to\profile\dir to the executable path in the properties of the program shortcut icon. Is there a Mac equivalent of shortcut properties?

Hello, First off I really dig Joplins feature set and it’s exactly what I am looking for - so thank you for your work! My question is - I need to keep certain notes encrypted. I realize we can keep the notes on an encrypted drive - but is there a way to move the sqlite file created in the .config directory also to an encrypted drive? Since the sqlite file is in plain text, I’d like to have that somewhere stored safely. I’m on MacOS

Can storage position be changed?

Hi everyone, Here is a question about the storage position of Joplin. The default one is the directory “~/.config/joplin-desktop”, I want to change to another place so that it can be shared and different OS system can use the same place. However, it seems no change could be made from the configuration menu. Does anyone know to do it? Thanks very much!
