How to use [TOC]?

I see that table of contents has made it's way in to the release here, but i'm not quite sure what's the syntax to use in Joplinapp?

I tried this, which seems to be the general markdown way of doing TOC, but it did not work.

Table of Contents

  1. [test] (test)

and then further down the document, the section to be linked to

test

etc.

Just write [toc] in your notes and the table of contents is generate automatically.
