Can't attach files on iPad

Hello, I'm a long-time, very satisfied Joplin user on a variety of platforms, and the app is truly one of the best I know.
Unfortunately, I'm having the following small but annoying problem with Joplin on my 3rd generation iPad Pro with iPadOS 16.6.1:
When I try to attach a file to a document using the paperclip icon, I'm first asked whether I want to attach a file, a photo, or take a photo. If I select "Photo" at this point, it works. But when I select "File" the file selection window pops up only for a short moment and immediately disappears back down. It's actually only visible for a fraction of a second, so you can't select a file to attach to the Joplin document.
Does anyone know this problem or can tell me how to solve it?

Indeed. I just installed the latest pre-release version of Joplin for iOS and it works.
