I am progressively moving a number of services to open-source projects, native or Docker application, on an M1. I am impressed at the quality of what I use, and the ability to see what is going on with my data is reassuring. Starting the experience with Joplin, with a path very similar to many here. Already running Photoprism in Docker for a large library and having learned some basics, I may experiment with Joplin server for fun, while I don't think I really need that.
