I switched from Evernote to Joplin and like it much better.
I use Joplin mainly for taking notes and sometimes also for code snippets.
One of the many advantages of Joplin is that one can create a tree structure with sub-notebooks and sub-sub-notebooks. A hierarchical structure makes it easier to organize and search notes.
