# You shouldn't have to back up over all links to get back to the main menu

In Android, if you follow a trail of links, but then want to go back to the main menu, you are forced to use either the Android back button or the Joplin back button -- for as many times as links you followed.

There should be a way to start over back at the main menu without having to repeat the notes you've already seen.

PR [Mobile: Add ability to long press the back button on the note viewer screen, to go directly to the notes screen by mrjo118 · Pull Request #13031 · laurent22/joplin · GitHub](https://github.com/laurent22/joplin/pull/13031) is currently in review, but an implementation has not yet been agreed as per the comments on the PR
