Which option to take for initial Dropbox sync of Joplin on new iPhone?

Hi,
I use Joplin heavily and the initial Dropbox sync on a 2nd iPhone some time ago took a long time overnight.

Now I have a new iPhone and I see 2 options for installing and syncing Joplin on it but am not sure which one to go for:

I will use Apple quick start data transfer, so all apps with settings and data are transferred. That means all Joplin notebooks and notes will be on the new iPhone after the quick start. My question: does the Joplin sync mechanism recognize that correctly or will there be sync conflicts with possible data loss?
I delete Joplin on the new iPhone after the quick start data transfer. Then I install it again and start an initial sync which probably will take some hours and I will have to monitor it.

Can you give me an advice which of the two options I should go for?

From my experience with iOS and iPadOS there are quite a few apps where app data isn't restored on the new device. I haven't tried it with Joplin specifically - maybe someone else reading this has.

This kind of "cloning" is common with desktop versions of Joplin, especially with the portable version. I haven't experienced any issues with copying Joplin's profile folder over to a new device and starting Joplin there.

That's true (depending on how many notes and attachments you have), but I don't think "monitoring" is the correct term. The device must be turned on (no automatic lockscreen timeout) and Joplin has to be able to run as a foreground process.

My solution that worked fine with numbers and sync time below:
I decided for option 2 in my original post, i.e. I deleted Joplin on the new iPhone after the quick start data transfer. Then I installed it again, disabled automatic screen lock, selected Dropbox sync and started an initial sync which lasted only 74 minutes, much less than I expected.

Here are the numbers for someone else to compare with his/her numbers on Joplin:
On the new iPhone the sync showed 13'799 items.
