What issue do you have?

I am using the default backup included with Joplin, and the default backup interval.
I am backing up to my Google Drive: C:\Users\User\My Drive\Joplin
The backups run as expected and I see each individual backup in the default subdirectory(s).
I expect to see a backup log but it does not exist in the directory structure of my backup drive.
Where can I find the backup log?

@rae8836 welcome to the forum.

On my system the backup.log file is stored in the folder for that backup along with the jex file and the profile folder.

If that is not happening for you check that logs are switched on in the plug-in settings.

My log level is set to "Error".

I do see the subdirectory with the "Profile" folder and the "all_notebooks.jex" file, but there is no log file there.

My backup is pointed to my Google Drive. I already have a support request in place due to the fact that I get permission errors when the Backup function attempts to delete backups when the "Keep x Backups" number is exceeded. I'll add the lack of logs to that request.

On a related topic, can you point me to a discussion of the exact logic that triggers a backup? I see a "Backup interval..." setting and an "Only on change" setting. I'm running Joplin desktop on Windows 11. I have my backup interval set to one hour and I have only on change checked. I do see backups in my backup folder but they don't seem to have timestamps that match the backup settings when I am actually using Joplin

Sorry, I do not know if or where this may have been discussed. Possibly this could be asked on the plugin developer's GitHub page?
