What FOSS do you use for Windows backup?

Kopia has a decent UI version along with a server app but it is not needed for regular users.

Glad to read this. My research suggests borg is a reliable supplier, from the perspective of security control implementation. By extension, this improves Joplin's security posture.

It's great that Joplin can benefit from the primary maintainer doing code review to uncover vulnerabilities in borg.

Vorta and Pika backup are available as GUI clients for borg. Both are open source as GPL, and should meet the criteria. Pika is Linux-only, Vorta is multiplatform.

And anyone comfortable with command line will find borgmatic a useful suite of enhancements on top of borg.

borg easily handles local and remote backups. For remote, it's not as simple as Backblaze's batteries-included solution. But you can backup to remote storage designed for borgbackup. Such as borgbase.com. Borgbase also maintains Vorta and has previously funded development of borg and Pika.

There is a Cobian Reflector CobianSoft - The home of Cobian Backup
It is free bun not open source. It allows shadow backup, actions before/after backup, password protection, etc
