Each call to "take photo" opens a user-specified camera app. e.g. I would have it set to always open Android stock camera

indeed, I currently get many pics of projected slides, which require zooming. Because of this I have to quickly switch to the Camera app, zoom snap, save, switch back to Joplin, and insert the created pic. Any way to even just zoom while getting the pic would be good in my case...

I am new to joplin. I migrated from inkpad notepad. I enjoy the synchronization options and the search and replace plugin. I also like the checklist feature.

I use checklist for many things and would like it even more if i could send checked items to the bottom of the list.

There is a plugin for the Outline side bar functionality as far as I remember and a collapsible feature is alredy available:

Here's how you can enable collapsible lists and other lines in Joplin: Enable the beta editor: Tools > Options > General > Opt-in to the editor beta Install the Extra Markdown Editor Settings plugin and restart Joplin Enable code folding: Tools > Options > Extra editor settings sidebar item > Check Enable code folding > Change other settings while you're here Click ⌄ left of a line to collapse or fold it. Click › left of a line (or the … button on the right) to expand or unfold it.

Perhaps it‘s interesting for you to read the following postings, where a solution is discussed, by which checkbox-items in a single note are made transparent when done. This gives a good overview about the undone checkboxes left.

Joplin as a shopping list

TLDR; With the help of a little CSS, and the right workflow, Joplin can very efficiently replace a full featured shopping list app. There's still margin for improvement though.
