Web Clipper / Markdown plugins vs Pocket

Is there a way to set-up either Joplin's own WebClipper or Markdown plugin to save the web sites looking nicely and conducive to reading later like the ones saved with the Pocket? Either of these plugins currently save a lot of unnecessary gibberish.

The Joplin webclipper should do what you want by pressing "Clip Simplified page".
