# Tag Bar not there

Hello,

I have stumbled across the "Bright Tags" css and discovered that my toolbar should be able to display the note tags. Unfortundately, my notes do not show their tags up on the tool bar; the only position I can see or edit them is at the bottom of the note.

Is this a Linux restriction, or am I missing some setting or plugin here?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I think that CSS is for the old Joplin UI so those components simply don't exist any more, you would need to target those ones at the bottom.

The CSS isn't really important here, the interesting bit was the feature that tags are visible or can be modified in the tool bar.

Do I understand you correctly that this feature was part of the old UI and simply does not exist anymore? That would be a pity, because down at the bottom of the note they aren't really very noticeable ...

Yes, that is why I was saying you cannot target them with the CSS because those UI components don't exist in the new ui, the current tags are at the bottom of the note.
