Sychronization issues with a cloned Joplin instance?

I always synchronize with Webdav. If I clone my entire operating system and use it as an additional new system (e.g. with an external SSD), can I just leave Joplin as it is, or should I download the notes again from the synchronization target? With some apps that synchronize, there are device-specific IDs that can lead to difficulties if there are two identical ones. So far I have set up and synchronized Joplin from scratch as a precaution, but is that really necessary?

I'd recommend a sync from scratch like you did. It's just cleaner - the OS clone you made gets the latest from WebDAV and is then up to date.
