# Stop external editing when editor closes?

When I use and external editor (emacs) to edit a note, I often close emacs and forget to click the Joplin button to “stop external editing.” I believe this, at some point, causes a conflict in Joplin. This was on Joplin version 1.0.233.

Would it be possible to add a feature to stop external editing when the external editor is closed?
