# Rich text editor search can't find text within code blocks

### What issue do you have?

Hi,

The search in Joplin's rich text editor can't find words, if they are contained inside, e.g., single ` (tilde) characters.

I see this was already asked in 2022 but I can't reply to it: [Search in page does not work properly when using Rich Markdown](https://discourse.joplinapp.org/t/search-in-page-does-not-work-properly-when-using-rich-markdown/26133)

Is there any way that upstream TinyMCE bugs or limitations can be asked about?

This limitation is increasingly annoying me, meaning I can't input data inside text quotes in Joplin without having to copy and paste entire text just to find it later.
