Quickly bubble up any note or selection of notes

My notes are always sorted by update time, iirc it is the default.

I frequently bubble up specific notes by doing a minor edit (e.g. add a trailing space to the note title) for the sole purpose of moving the note to the top of the list. It requires several clicks and keyboard presses, and I cannot do it for a bunch of notes at once.

I wish there was an easier way to bubble up any note or selection of notes. E.g. right click > bubble up on either a single note or several selected notes. On both desktop and mobile.

Bubble up is strange terminology to be honest. While what you propose is potentially useful, it’s pretty niche. The ideal would be to have a pin note feature (which is a long requested feature) so you can add or remove notes from the top as and when is required, but if you have specific collections of notes you regularly use, your best bet would be to use tags to group them. To make these collections easily accessible, you could do something like have a tag called [Favourites] which is going to be at the top of your tag list

I can already and I actually do pin notes by turning them into todos.

Bubbling notes up is a different need, bubbled up notes are only at the top for a short time before other freshly updates notes take their place. Notes at the top are continuously changing.

I understand my need is pretty niche, this could be a plugin.

Your need and workaround is similar to mine. I prefix a 0 (and other numbers accordingly), for notes that I want to be at the top, after sorting alphabetically. This system gives me a level of control over bubbled up notes.

FWIW I found a great tip to quickly bubble up several notes (desktop only) for users who always order by update time like me (not alphabetically).

Select your notes, click the “switch to todo type“ butten then the “switch to note type“. Just two clicks, very convenient.

UPDATE It reverses the order of bubbled up notes though. To preserve the order, do this manipulation two times.

If it helps anyone, I solved this on Desktop with the following BTT (BetterTouchTool) flow under the Joplin app:

Pressing cmd quickly two times now bubbles up the current note.

Still looking for a solution on Mobile though.
