I'd like to make a suggestion for discussion. I find the use of "projects" (+project_name) very convenient. With the recent evolutions of this plugin, I tend to manage all my project documentation in connection with my todos and literature. It seems to me that it could be interesting to have the possibility to set a list of projects in the parameters that would appear in autocomplete even when no todo mentions it. We could even imagine that these projects are recognized with the same syntax in the inline-tags tab (tags::text+project_name) or in the "papers" tab (extract from Zotero for ex.). And even better, a new tab "projects" could show tasks, articles or references related to this project!

Sound interesting. It sounds more like an aggregator because you can aggregate different items into one tab with custom conditions/filters.

Actually, the next feature I want to implement is the Group feature, which can treat some notes as a user-defined group. And all the groups can be displayed in the sidebar. (like the vertical layout mode of the note tab plugin but with multiple groups support).

And your ideas can make the Group feature go further. I will try to implement it when developing the Group feature. Great thanks for your good ideas!

You're welcome . This group functionality is great news and it could indeed do that.

In the same way I thought that it might be interesting to have an "info" tab grouping together the metadata of the note. I am thinking in particular of the date of creation, modification, location information (GPS) or whether the note is shared or not, note tags indicating the status (in progress, to be reviewed,), character counter, etc...

For the moment you have integrated a status bar which is already very useful !

Thank you for the plugin. I mainly use it for the outline and todo part. Is there a way to update the part of the todo plugin that you forked to the newest version? With the original inline-todo plugin you get the tags rendered into small blocks in the viewer, which improves readability a lot. For now I'm using both of these plugins at the same time but would love to ditch the original in case it comes to conflicting behaviour. Additionally it would be nice to have the possibility to set the plugin to only show todos of the selected notebook or to have an permanent exclusion list for notebooks (eg. notebooks that contain templates with a lot of checkboxes)

I have an idea for a feature request (I've no idea how possible this is btw, just spitballing)

I really like the daily note feature and it's great for bullet journalling, however my template has gotten more and more complex over time and having just a one line box for inputting the template is annoying

I had an idea that the plugin to check to see if the templates plugin was also installed and would call that one first if it exists (and if the user said to use it in the settings)

So instead of currently
Click daily note calendar > New note dialogue > Open new note
instead it goes
Click daily note calendar > New note dialogue > Open note template dialogue > Open new note

How do you feel about this idea?

I am not sure if Joplin supports inter-plugin communication. I haven't seen any documentation regarding this. But I guess we can approach it from the configuration perspective. I haven't installed the template plugin, but if its templates are also stored in the configuration, perhaps we can directly access the existing templates.

Did some more digging and it looks like the templates plugin creates the dialogue using a registered command, I don't know if one plugin can access another's commands (I assume they can since it's all done through the same joplin.commands class) but they can defintely be executed internally without needing to be associated with a button or anything...

Also, unrelatedly, I was using the papers plugin from the bundle recently and it's super handy but I was hoping you could make two small changes:

Can the @cite popup respect the current theme? The white box is very bright against my background (and the font is very small)
Can the @cite searching be made to be case insensitive? It's not a massive inconvenience but some papers are Title Cased and some are just Upper case on the first word so remembering which are which is hassle

I have install "ReMoods Theme" this plugin, but plugin bundles this plugin not support ReMoods color

Sorry, but I have no idea how to implement this feature. The background color of the plugin comes from a css color variable set by Joplin. When switching light/dark theme, Joplin will set the variable to a new value so that this plugin can also change the background color. However, "ReMoods Theme" creates a new variable to modify the joplin style, which overrides the original theme.

It's not possible. The only way is all the plugins use the same color system with ReMoods, but it is a bit complicated and I think people wouldn't do it.
